Key Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and park facilities.
- Operate heavy machinery, including dump trucks, front-end loaders, and street sweepers.
- Assist in snow removal and storm response operations during inclement weather.
- Inspect public infrastructure to identify maintenance needs and report hazards.
- Respond to emergency service requests from the public and city departments.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and city policies.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Nebraska Class D Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is preferred but on-the-job training is provided.
