Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, parks, and public facilities.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and service calls during inclement weather or peak times.
- Collect and dispose of trash, debris, and recyclables from public right-of-ways.
- Inspect municipal assets for safety hazards and report findings to supervisors.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during winter months.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while on duty.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C California Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in general maintenance, landscaping, or construction.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
