Responsibilities
- Perform Manual Labor: Operate heavy equipment, such as jackhammers, rollers, and dump trucks, to repair roads and pavement.
- Snow & Ice Removal: Clear snow and ice from streets, sidewalks, and public buildings during inclement weather events.
- Sanitation & Waste Management: Assist in the collection and disposal of trash, leaves, and debris.
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Maintain storm drains, catch basins, and public parks to ensure safety and accessibility.
- Equipment Care: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of municipal vehicles and tools.
- Field Operations: Work outdoors in various weather conditions to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- License: Valid Tennessee Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or municipal operations is highly preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in all weather conditions.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of heavy machinery or tools is a plus but not mandatory.
- Availability: Must be available for shifts, including weekends and holidays.
