Responsibilities
- Oversee $50M+ annual public works budget and capital improvement projects
- Direct operations of water treatment, wastewater, and stormwater systems
- Manage transportation infrastructure including roads, bridges, and traffic signals
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, technicians, and administrative staff
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (EPA, CDOT, FEMA)
- Develop long-term infrastructure resilience plans for climate adaptation
- Coordinate with county, state, and federal agencies for regional initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or related field
- 7+ years progressive experience in municipal public works management
- Valid Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure project lifecycle management
- Experience with GIS systems and infrastructure asset management software
- Strong budgetary oversight and procurement expertise
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams through organizational change
