Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all public works infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and utilities
- Oversee departmental budget allocation and fiscal compliance for capital improvement programs
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, contractors, and municipal staff
- Ensure all projects adhere to federal/state regulations and safety protocols
- Develop long-term infrastructure plans aligned with city growth initiatives
- Monitor vendor contracts and performance metrics
- Represent the city in public forums and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in municipal infrastructure management
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proven budget management for projects exceeding $1M
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and INDOT regulations
- Excellent leadership and conflict resolution skills
- Experience with GIS and infrastructure planning software
