Responsibilities
- Manage $5M+ infrastructure projects from conception to completion
- Coordinate cross-departmental teams including engineering, finance, and community stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and safety standards
- Develop and control project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
- Lead public engagement initiatives and address community concerns
- Prepare detailed progress reports for city council and oversight committees
- Mentor junior staff and implement continuous improvement processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 5+ years of project management experience in public works or municipal government
- PMP certification or Oregon PE license preferred
- Proven track record managing multi-million dollar capital projects
- Expertise in public procurement processes and contract administration
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, ADA, and local building codes
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to present technical information to diverse audiences
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean record
