Responsibilities
- Manage capital improvement projects from conception to completion
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Develop project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans
- Ensure compliance with federal/state/local regulations and environmental standards
- Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues
- Prepare progress reports for city council and stakeholder presentations
- Maintain project documentation and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 5+ years of project management experience in public works or construction
- Valid California PMP certification or PE license
- Proficiency with MS Project, AutoCAD, and GIS systems
- Strong knowledge of California Public Contract Code
- Experience managing multi-million dollar budgets
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain security clearance for sensitive projects
