Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain municipal equipment including trucks, graders, and snow removal tools
- Perform routine inspections and repairs of streets, sidewalks, and storm drainage systems
- Respond to public service requests for infrastructure issues within 24 hours
- Document work activities using digital field reporting systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and municipal protocols
- Participate in emergency weather response operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Valid Nebraska Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
- Minimum 2 years of equipment operation or construction experience
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass pre-employment background check and physical examination
- Willingness to obtain required certifications within 6 months
