Responsibilities
- Perform daily road maintenance tasks, including pothole repair, crack sealing, and pavement marking.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as asphalt pavers, graders, loaders, and sweepers.
- Execute snow and ice removal operations during severe weather events to ensure public safety.
- Inspect roadways and infrastructure for defects, reporting maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and safe work site, adhering to all OSHA and City safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other municipal departments on large-scale infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred.
- Previous experience operating heavy machinery or construction equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- U.S. Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.
