Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography, optimization, and simulation applications
- Design and implement error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Mentor cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Collaborate with academic institutions and industry partners on quantum standards
- Translate theoretical quantum concepts into practical engineering solutions
- Secure patents and publish research in top-tier quantum journals
- Develop roadmaps for quantum hardware-software co-design
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proven expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong publication record in quantum computing research
- Experience leading R&D teams in tech or academic environments
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ion)
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
