Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental research on quantum hardware systems including superconducting qubits and trapped ions
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing infrastructure
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage research funding through government grants and private partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum information science
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and complexity theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
