Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Conduct experimental research on quantum hardware systems including superconducting qubits and photonic processors
- Develop error-correction protocols and quantum simulation frameworks
- Lead cross-functional projects with engineers and data scientists to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies and industry standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational complexity
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary research teams
