Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate quantum circuit designs into physical implementations
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives in quantum cryptography and secure communications
- Publish findings in Nature, Science, or IEEE journals with 2+ annual publications
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants from DARPA/NSF
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published 10+ peer-reviewed papers on quantum algorithms or error correction
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfaces
- Experience with AWS Braket or IBM Quantum services
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and mitigation strategies
- Track record of translating theoretical models into experimental results
