Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-corrected qubit architectures for scalable quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum applications in cryptography and machine learning
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research funding
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
- Contribute to quantum computing standards for 2026 deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum hardware (IBM, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in quantum information science
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum error correction
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
- Proven ability to secure research grants
- US citizenship or permanent residency required
