Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance on superconducting processors
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NIST grants for quantum-resistant cryptography research
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory through our academic partnership program
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years post-doc experience
- Published peer-reviewed research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum Monte Carlo simulations
- Track record of securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE preferred)
- Deep understanding of topological quantum computing and Majorana fermions
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
