Our Austin R&D center features a 10,000 sq ft quantum lab, on-site cryogenic systems, and a culture where PhDs from top 20 universities converge to redefine technological boundaries. You'll lead a team of 5 specialists while publishing in Nature Physics and contributing to IEEE standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms optimized for error-corrected qubits by 2026
- Lead cross-functional projects with hardware engineers to develop fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with NASA and DARPA on quantum-resistant cryptography protocols
- Publish 2-3 peer-reviewed papers annually in top-tier journals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Develop proprietary quantum simulation frameworks for industrial applications
- Present findings at international conferences including Q2B and IEEE Quantum Week
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or algorithm optimization
- Experience with cryogenic quantum measurement systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Clearance for government-sponsored research programs (or ability to obtain)
