Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets using SQL, Python, and advanced statistical methods
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations for executive stakeholders using Tableau/Power BI
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with federal regulations (FISMA, HIPAA, etc.)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement data governance frameworks and quality controls
- Present findings to senior leadership through concise executive summaries and data-driven reports
- Support federal grant allocation processes through predictive modeling and trend analysis
- Lead ad-hoc data investigations to address operational challenges and policy impacts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in federal government data analysis or regulated industries
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Certification in federal data compliance (e.g., CIPP, CDSP) or willingness to obtain
- Expertise in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) and ETL processes
- Proven track record of translating complex data into actionable business strategies
- Strong understanding of Alaska's economic and demographic datasets (bonus)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to present to non-technical stakeholders
