Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and non-emergency lines with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate incident logs and documentation in compliance with state regulations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide life-saving pre-arrival instructions via telephone
- Operate radio equipment and specialized communication tools
- Participate in continuous remote training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer navigation
- Valid New Mexico driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts (including nights/weekends)
- Experience in customer service or crisis preferred
- US citizenship and residency in Bernalillo County
