Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and compassion
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment
- Coordinate with police, fire, and EMS units during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Provide pre-arrival emergency medical instructions via telephone
- Adhere to strict protocols for high-stress crisis management
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure emergency situations
- Clear communication skills with strong listening abilities
- Basic computer proficiency and typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Valid Michigan driver's license and clean driving record
- Pass background check and drug screening
- No prior felony convictions
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
