Responsibilities
- Administer and manage state pension plans, ensuring accurate calculations for retirement benefits.
- Process and review retirement applications, including disability and survivor benefits.
- Conduct actuarial analysis and prepare reports to assess plan solvency and funding status.
- Provide exceptional customer service to retirees and employees via phone, email, and secure portals.
- Ensure strict compliance with state and federal regulations (ERISA, FERS, etc.).
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to interpret policy changes and implement updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pension administration, benefits management, or government payroll.
- Deep understanding of retirement plans, Social Security, and federal/state labor laws.
- Proficiency in HRIS software (e.g., SAP, Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations.
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment with high-level time management.
