Responsibilities
- Manage daily payroll processing for state employees using automated systems
- Ensure compliance with California state labor laws and pension regulations
- Provide remote technical support for payroll software and state IT platforms
- Collaborate with finance teams on pension plan administration and reporting
- Conduct audits to verify payroll accuracy and pension contribution calculations

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of payroll processing experience in government or regulated environment
- Proficiency with ADP, Workday, or similar payroll management systems
- Strong knowledge of California state pension plans (CalPERS/CalSTRS)
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or SHRM-CP preferred
- Experience with remote work tools and asynchronous communication
