Responsibilities
- Collect and transport residential and commercial waste to disposal sites efficiently.
- Operate heavy sanitation vehicles, including trash trucks and recycling compactors.
- Ensure routes are completed safely and within designated timeframes.
- Maintain cleanliness of municipal trucks and equipment on a daily basis.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic regulations while on duty.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or hazardous road conditions immediately.
- Interact professionally with residents and respond to inquiries regarding collection schedules.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle maintenance is preferred.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong commitment to punctuality and attendance.
