Responsibilities
- Collect and transport solid waste, recycling, and yard trimmings from curbside containers using heavy-duty trucks.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of sanitation vehicles and equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
- Inspect collection routes and report any issues regarding missed pickups or safety hazards.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, OSHA standards, and city protocols while working in all weather conditions.
- Interact professionally with the public, including answering inquiries and providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds repeatedly.
- Physically fit to perform strenuous labor, including bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to punctuality, reliability, and teamwork.
