We are looking for a visionary Senior 3D Artist & Developer to join our elite team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will bridge the gap between artistic direction and technical implementation, creating assets that define the future of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Asset Creation: Design and model high-fidelity 3D assets for games, simulations, and web applications using industry-standard software (Blender, Maya, 3ds Max).
- Texturing & Shading: Develop complex PBR materials and textures using Substance Painter and Substance Designer to ensure visual consistency.
- Optimization: Optimize 3D models and textures for real-time rendering engines (Unreal Engine 5, Unity) to ensure maximum performance and frame rates.
- Lighting & Rendering: Set up complex lighting rigs and render scenes in Arnold or V-Ray to achieve cinematic quality visuals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with art directors, technical directors, and developers to integrate assets into production pipelines.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior artists, providing feedback and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in 3D art and modeling, preferably within the gaming or VFX industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max; advanced knowledge of ZBrush and Substance Painter.
- Engine Proficiency: Strong understanding of real-time rendering pipelines in Unreal Engine 5 or Unity.
- Artistic Vision: Exceptional eye for detail, composition, and color theory; ability to interpret creative briefs effectively.
- Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex rendering and optimization issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
