Responsibilities
- Develop, analyze, and recommend county-wide budget allocations across 30+ departments
- Conduct fiscal impact analysis for legislative proposals and capital projects
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and dashboards for County Executive and Legislature
- Monitor budget compliance and implement corrective actions for variances
- Lead inter-departmental budget workshops and stakeholder consultations
- Streamline budget processes using ERP systems and data analytics tools
- Ensure compliance with NYS Municipal Finance Law and GASB standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of government or municipal budget experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SAP, and financial modeling software
- CPA or CMA certification highly desirable
- Deep knowledge of NYS municipal finance regulations
- Exceptional analytical and presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with competing priorities
- Valid NY State driver's license required
