Responsibilities
- Oversee official city records management, including ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes
- Coordinate public information requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Manage municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Supervise departmental budget tracking and financial reporting
- Lead cross-functional projects on civic engagement initiatives
- Serve as primary liaison between citizens and city council members
- Implement digital record-keeping systems for enhanced accessibility
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal government or administrative experience
- Advanced proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, OnBase)
- Deep knowledge of Kentucky Revised Statutes Chapter 61A (Open Records)
- Professional certification (e.g., MMC, CMC) strongly preferred
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
- Proven project management experience with municipal initiatives
