Responsibilities
- Serve as custodian of municipal records, ordinances, and official documents with meticulous accuracy
- Manage City Council agendas, minutes, and public hearings ensuring legal compliance
- Oversee voter registration and election coordination for municipal elections
- Lead public records requests processing while maintaining confidentiality standards
- Coordinate municipal licensing and permitting processes for businesses and residents
- Develop and implement records management systems for digital and physical archives
- Act as primary liaison between citizens and city government for procedural inquiries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal government or public sector experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Expert knowledge of Georgia open records laws and Sunshine Act requirements
- Advanced proficiency in municipal software (e.g., Tyler Munis, Granicus)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Experience leading public meetings and community outreach initiatives
