Responsibilities
- Oversee all official city records, ordinances, and minutes with meticulous accuracy
- Manage municipal elections and voter registration processes in compliance with state laws
- Administer public records requests and ensure timely, transparent responses
- Coordinate with city council, mayor's office, and department heads on legislative matters
- Supervise records management systems and implement digital preservation strategies
- Lead public outreach initiatives to enhance civic participation and transparency
- Serve as custodian of the city seal and authenticate official documents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal records management or government experience
- Wisconsin Election Official Certification or equivalent credentials
- Expertise in public records laws (Wisconsin Statutes 19.31-19.39)
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems and document automation
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to interact with diverse stakeholders
- Proven project management experience with large-scale civic initiatives
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license and ability to work occasional evenings/weekends
