- Oversee public records requests and ensure compliance with open government laws
- Manage election administration logistics including voter registration and polling site coordination
- Prepare and distribute official meeting agendas, minutes, and public notices
- Supervise document imaging systems and digital record-keeping protocols
- Train staff on municipal record-keeping procedures and legal compliance
- Collaborate with department heads on legislative documentation and filing requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or public sector experience
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Expert knowledge of California Public Records Act and Brown Act regulations
- Professional certification (e.g., Municipal Clerk Institute graduate)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with utmost discretion
