Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official municipal records with meticulous attention to detail and confidentiality
- Process complex permits, licenses, and administrative documents ensuring compliance with city regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, businesses, and government stakeholders
- Coordinate inter-departmental communications and document workflows
- Prepare comprehensive reports and correspondence for city council meetings
- Utilize specialized municipal software for record-keeping and data analysis
- Train and mentor junior clerks on administrative procedures and compliance standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in government or municipal administration
- Associate degree in Public Administration or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and municipal record-keeping systems
- Deep knowledge of California municipal regulations and compliance protocols
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Valid California Driver's License
- Ability to obtain Notary Public certification within 6 months of hire
