Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex GIS databases and mapping solutions
- Analyze spatial data to support county planning, emergency response, and infrastructure projects
- Create interactive web maps and data visualizations for public and stakeholder use
- Collaborate with county departments to integrate GIS solutions into workflows
- Lead GIS system upgrades and ensure data security and compliance
- Train staff on GIS tools and best practices
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for decision-makers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of professional GIS experience with government or municipal focus
- Expertise in Esri ArcGIS Suite (Pro, Enterprise, Online)
- Strong Python programming and SQL skills
- Experience with LiDAR processing and spatial analytics
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to obtain GIS Professional (GISP) certification preferred
