Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain confidential court records with 100% accuracy, including case files, judgments, and dockets
- Process and file legal documents (petitions, motions, orders) while adhering to strict procedural protocols
- Provide authoritative case information to judges, attorneys, and litigants with exceptional customer service
- Coordinate with judicial staff to ensure seamless court operations and calendar management
- Implement and maintain digital record-keeping systems while ensuring compliance with state/federal regulations
- Train and mentor junior clerks on court procedures and documentation standards
- Manage financial transactions including filing fees, fines, and restitution payments
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or Criminal Justice; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in legal/government clerical roles with court exposure
- Expert knowledge of Kentucky court procedures and legal terminology
- Advanced proficiency in legal software (e.g., Odyssey, FileTrak) and MS Office Suite
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with absolute discretion and confidentiality
- Exceptional organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workflows
- Professional certification in Court Administration or Paralegal Studies (preferred)
