Responsibilities
- Sort, organize, and deliver mail/packages along designated routes using postal vehicles or walking
- Collect outgoing mail and parcels from residential/business mailboxes
- Operate postal vehicles safely and maintain proper vehicle maintenance records
- Provide exceptional customer service during mail delivery interactions
- Process and sort incoming mail at the local post office facility
- Adhere to USPS safety protocols and delivery time standards
- Report maintenance issues and hazardous conditions along delivery routes
Qualifications
- US citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly and walk 5-8 hours daily
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for mail processing systems
- Reliable transportation to post office facility
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
