Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate court records, case files, and judicial documentation
- Provide exceptional in-person and virtual customer service to attorneys, litigants, and court visitors
- Process legal filings, warrants, and subpoens with strict adherence to procedural protocols
- Coordinate judicial schedules and calendar management for multiple courtrooms
- Assist in jury pool administration and summons processing
- Utilize specialized judicial software (e.g., Odyssey, CourtNet) for case tracking
- Prepare official transcripts and administrative reports for judicial review
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of court clerk or legal administrative experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and judicial management systems
- Valid North Carolina Notary Public certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero tolerance for documentation errors
- Ability to manage sensitive/confidential information with discretion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred
