Responsibilities
- Lead the detection, analysis, and response to complex cybersecurity incidents targeting city networks and critical systems.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability management to align with NIST and CIS controls.
- Oversee the implementation and management of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions.
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security policies and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide expert consultation on security architecture and threat intelligence to stakeholders across the organization.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for city staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, or information security analysis.
- Certification such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with incident response frameworks and forensic analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage multiple priorities.
