Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats across federal networks and systems.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools.
- Support security compliance audits and ensure adherence to NIST and DoD standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate security incidents and improve resilience.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security analysts and engineers.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance required (SCI eligible preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network defense, or information assurance within a federal or DoD environment.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly desired.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security architectures.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and incident response frameworks.
