Responsibilities
- Monitor Network Traffic: Analyze system logs and network traffic in real-time to identify potential threats and anomalies during off-peak hours.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and resolution of cybersecurity incidents, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
- Security Audits: Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to ensure compliance with federal standards (NIST, FISMA).
- Access Control: Manage user access rights and permissions in accordance with strict security protocols and clearance levels.
- Report Generation: Create detailed incident reports and security briefings for stakeholders and senior management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Clearance: Active Top Secret security clearance required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information assurance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), firewalls, and endpoint protection.
- Availability: Must be available to work the night shift on a rotating schedule.
