Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and security audits to identify potential risks within the network infrastructure.
- Monitor network traffic and analyze security alerts to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with federal regulations (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Lead incident response teams during cyber security breaches, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform forensic analysis on compromised systems to determine the root cause and prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with IT operations to ensure secure configuration of hardware and software systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Security+ certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, network security, or a related government role.
- Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance is required.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, threat intelligence, and incident response methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
