Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of critical enterprise software and database systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to analyze business requirements and implement scalable IT solutions.
- Ensure the security and integrity of city data in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for internal stakeholders and the public.
- Manage project lifecycles from initiation through deployment using Agile methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in government or municipal IT environments.
- Proficiency in SQL, Java, and/or Python programming languages is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, cloud computing, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical staff.
