Responsibilities
- Lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal IT systems
- Develop and implement advanced cybersecurity protocols aligned with federal regulations
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and coordinate incident response
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches and cyber incidents
- Train federal staff on cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on threat intelligence sharing
- Manage security tool deployments including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in federal or enterprise cybersecurity roles
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Expertise in NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, and FedRAMP frameworks
- Proficiency with security tools (Splunk, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks)
- Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Demonstrated experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Strong analytical and incident response documentation skills
