Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies for government reporting and strategic planning.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI) to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with federal regulations (e.g., FISMA, GDPR, state privacy laws).
- Create detailed technical documentation, reports, and presentations for executive leadership and government officials.
- Conduct data audits and implement best practices for data governance and security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence within the government or public sector.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation; experience with Python or R is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI.
- Deep understanding of data governance, compliance standards, and security protocols.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences.
