Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex data models and interactive dashboards using Tableau, PowerBI, and SQL to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify data needs, define metrics, and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Perform advanced statistical analysis to support state policy initiatives and budget forecasting.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across multiple databases and reporting systems.
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior analysts to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence, with at least 2 years in a public sector or government environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL (Querying, Stored Procedures) and programming languages such as Python or R.
- Strong working knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Looker).
- Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences.
