Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive environmental policies aligned with Massachusetts' climate action goals
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory impacts for executive recommendations
- Coordinate interagency initiatives on air quality, water resources, and waste management
- Lead stakeholder engagement with municipalities, industry partners, and advocacy groups
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and testimony for legislative hearings
- Oversee implementation of federal environmental compliance programs
- Manage grant projects totaling $2M+ annually for community environmental initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in environmental policy or regulatory compliance
- Deep knowledge of Massachusetts environmental regulations and federal EPA frameworks
- Exceptional analytical skills with data-driven policy development experience
- Proven ability to manage complex multi-stakeholder projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical audiences
- Experience with environmental impact assessments and cost-benefit analyses
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
