Responsibilities
- Develop and draft comprehensive policy proposals and legislative recommendations
- Analyze complex state regulations and federal compliance requirements
- Coordinate with legislative offices, agencies, and public stakeholders
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using advanced data analytics tools
- Prepare detailed impact assessments for proposed policy changes
- Present findings to senior leadership and legislative committees
- Mentor junior analysts on policy development methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in New York State legislative processes and regulations
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Proven ability to manage complex multi-stakeholder projects
- NY State residency required at time of hire
- Valid driver's license
