Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental site assessments and hazardous waste facility inspections
- Develop and implement pollution prevention strategies for industrial facilities
- Ensure regulatory compliance with state and federal environmental laws
- Prepare technical reports and enforcement documents for legal proceedings
- Coordinate with local agencies, stakeholders, and community groups
- Train staff on emerging environmental technologies and regulations
- Manage hazardous waste cleanup projects from assessment to closure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in environmental regulatory compliance
- California Registered Environmental Assessor (REA) certification preferred
- Expertise in hazardous waste management and toxic substance regulations
- Strong analytical skills with data interpretation experience
- Valid California driver's license
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and environmental databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
