Role Overview:
The Senior Federal Contract Specialist will be responsible for the end-to-end management of federal contracts, ensuring compliance with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and agency-specific standards. You will act as the primary liaison between the government client and internal project teams, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from proposal development to final delivery and closeout.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal compliance standards, including security and financial regulations.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve contract issues.
- Prepare and review contract modifications, amendments, and extensions.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for project scopes.
- Generate accurate reports and documentation for government audits and reviews.
- Mentor junior contract specialists and provide guidance on federal procurement processes.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (preferred) or eligibility to obtain.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal contracting, government relations, or IT program management.
- Deep understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DFARS.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in contract management software (e.g., Deltek GovWin, Salesforce).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
