Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-level cybersecurity frameworks in compliance with NIST and FISMA standards
- Lead incident response operations for cyber threats and security breaches
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and penetration testing of federal systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation including SOPs and contingency plans
- Mentor junior security personnel and coordinate cross-agency security initiatives
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT security or DoD equivalent
- Active CISSP, Security+, or equivalent federal security certification
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight)
- Experience with Windows/Linux system hardening and network security
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Demonstrated knowledge of RMF (Risk Management Framework)
