Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the performance of federal servers, databases, and network infrastructure to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols in compliance with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff members within the Federal IT team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and optimize cloud-based solutions.
- Respond to and resolve critical system incidents and outages with minimal downtime.
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance with favorable adjudication.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or similar high-security settings.
- Proficiency in Linux, Windows Server, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced regulatory environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for stakeholder reporting.
