Role Overview
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain complex IT architectures for federal clients. You will act as a technical lead, mentoring junior staff and ensuring compliance with strict government regulations and security standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and implement scalable IT infrastructure solutions for federal clients.
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FedRAMP, and other federal security standards.
- Lead technical troubleshooting and incident management for critical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and architecture.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
- Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and system reports.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party integrations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, IT architecture, or a related field.
- Active Public Trust or Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, or AWS Solutions Architect.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
