Key Responsibilities:
- Design and engineer secure cloud and on-premise IT architectures compliant with FedRAMP, NIST, and agency-specific regulations.
- Lead vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk management activities to safeguard federal data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate legacy systems with modern cloud technologies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and junior staff.
- Ensure 24/7 system availability and rapid incident response for critical federal operations.
- Prepare and submit technical documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs) and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
Qualifications:
- Citizenship Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess or be eligible to obtain a Top Secret/Secret Clearance.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in federal systems engineering or a related discipline.
- Certifications: Active certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or AWS Solutions Architect is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Linux, Windows Server, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of briefing senior leadership on technical concepts.
